List #4 : Play List

Day 4: The Play List

So today is the Play List day, referring to the musical play list. Well this should be an interesting one for me. I’m pretty much always adding new music to my collection daily. Every so often I make playlists, but they are often ideas for something. Like right now I have one going for “The New Girls”. That’s not a band, but rather this idea of woman vocal singers of new music I’ve gotten recently. I have to put a limit on it and say nothing older than 2 years. Another example is a 2010 compilation I created and passed around recently. Basically new stuff, non-techno, that was released in 2010. Lots of chillwave and Indie rock. I’ve been enjoying it immensely, but am beginning to tire of it. That’s when ideas for new lists begin. Much like the newly created “Here Comes 2011″. I’ll put that one down as my list for the day; it’s by no means completed or very full, but it’s started and will fill out nicely soon enough.

Artist Song

  1. Woodsman – Insects
  2. Grouplove – Colours
  3. Ringo Deathstarr – So High
  4. Steve Wynn and the Miracle 3 – Resolution
  5. The New Division – Starfield
  6. The Veils – Bloom
  7. Wild Nothing – Golden Haze
  8. Lykke Li – Get Some
  9. Jessica Lea Mayfield – Our Hearts Are Wrong
  10. Braids – Lemonde
  11. Hayes Carll – KMAG YOYO

As a side note, I want to send a special blessings out to my blog friend Hotpinksox. Her grandmother is nearing the end of her life and it’s a stressful time filled with worry and anxiety and loss. I just wanted to let her know that I have positive thoughts for her in my mind lately. Hang in there girl…

List #3: I am looking forward to…

Lately the topics have been fleeting and not real substantive for me to feel compelled to sit down and write. To help me out with getting started and focused, I’m gonna to drop in these 30 Days of Lists topics. Let’s see how it goes.

I am looking forward to:

  • Proposing to my GF
  • Moving in with my GF (Fianceé)
  • Setting a getting married date
  • Finishing some large long term work projects
  • Spending more time on the new MTN Bike
  • Figuring out what the name is for my newish car (it hasn’t really spoken to me yet…)
  • Seeing how the Paleo Diet is going to work for me!

Well that’s it for now. Short and sweet and with just a little bit about myself, for the future.

Returning to the top of the page…

Well hello there! Again. With the passage of time and many of events I’ve kinda decided to really force myself into a writing regime to see if I can’t improve both my skill and content creation ability. Seems like the latest things I’ve been following has talked a lot about content creation, which largely depends on writing skills. I’ve always felt that my writing skills have been sub par, so my thinking is that, if I practice more by writing something everyday, I’m bound to get better.
Along with this desire to improve my content creating and writing skills, I will also try to remain a razor sharp focus on keeping my posts short, relevant and singular in topic. If I want people to be interested in what I have to say, I need to keep them engaged with out boring them to death with an overabundance of details and endless storytelling.
So for today, blog posts to resume on my website. Posting on a daily basis. Singular topics per post. Short, sweet and poignantly written. Welcome to my journey and I look forward to seeing and hearing from you all.

Partners needs

While at the gym to day I over heard some older men talking about women. Just give them what they want…they’re going to get it anyways! hahaha! And we just keep on giving it to them, whatever they ask for. HAHAHA!

And so on. You’ve heard the conversation. It’s been ridiculed in comedy standup for ages.

I was thinking about it while doing my gym workout sets.

So you give your wife, everything (materialistic stuff) she asks for and she is always asking for more. And you continue to give her the stuff she asks for. I’m thinking about the dynamic of this relationship. What is truly happening here? At one level is sounds like the people in the relationship aren’t really getting what they truly want. It isn’t about the stuff. Maybe if we paid attention to one another more closely, we could figure out or listen more closely to what that person wants/needs from the relationship. Maybe it’s encouragement, emotional support, honest conversation. Instead of filling those needs with physical junk we don’t need that doesn’t stop the yearning, maybe try digging a little deeper to give your partner something a bit more meaningful.

So what do I need/want from my partner?
